Contact Centre Canada (CCC) is pleased to announce that the HROnline project is well underway. Funded by the Government of Canada’s Sector Council Program, the HROnline initiative was conceived through consultation with industry stakeholders. The objective of the project is to produce a portal with an integrated set of extensible platforms to support HR business processes specifically related to engaging knowledge workers and organizations in the contact centre industry.
It is Contact Centre Canada’s intent to provide, through enhancements of its website, the capacity for human resource professionals to view and participate in web-based conferencing, discussion forums, participatory libraries, chat capabilities and HR information. In addition, a Cost of Turnover Calculator tool will be developed and incorporated into the online portal. Contact centre organizations will be able to network and exchange information amongst themselves and with CCC in real time in one consolidated, user-friendly area. Subject matter experts will also be engaged to provide best practice information and guidance. Upon completion of the site, CCC will host a web-based conference using the developed technology. This project will address one of the most critical issues facing the sector – the lack of HR resources for small and medium-sized contact centres.
The project will directly support the success of small and medium sized contact centres in their effort to keep their businesses Canadian. The CCC HROnline initiative will be the first in its class in reaching the intended stakeholders with the clear, focussed objective of sharing the wealth of information that comes with a large organization’s wide range of HR professional resources.
