Protecting your privacy is important to the Canadian Customer Contact Centre Council (referred to as "Contact Centre Canada"). This Policy explains how Contact Centre Canada collects, uses, and discloses the personal information you may provide while using www.contactcentrecanada.ca (the "Web Site"), the Contact Centre Canada Forums and the electronic publications, newsletter, and announcements you have access to on the Web Site ("Electronic Communications"). Any personal information you provide to Contact Centre Canada through the Web Site will be treated with care, will be subject to this Policy, and will not be used or disclosed in ways to which you have not consented. 
 
By using the Web Site, you signify your consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, you may not use the Web Site or any of its features. 
 
Information Automatically Collected
 
Non-Identifiable Information – The Web Site may automatically collect certain non-identifiable information regarding Web Site users, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the IP address of your Internet service provider, the date and time you access the Web Site, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the Web Site, the operating system you are using, the sections of the Web Site you visit, the Web Site pages read and images viewed, and the materials you post to or download from the Web Site. This non-identifiable information is used for Web Site and system administration purposes and to improve the Web Site. Your non-identifiable information may be disclosed to others and permanently archived for future use. 
 
Cookies - The Web Site may use "cookies", a technology that installs information on a website user's computer to permit the website to recognize future visits using that computer. Cookies enhance the convenience and use of a website. Personal Information You Specifically Provide to the Web Site 
 
Your Personal Information - During your use of the Web Site, you may be asked to voluntarily provide certain personal information (including, but not limited to, your name and your email address) for purposes such as facilitating communications with you, applying for access to certain special features or areas of the Web Site, and/or posting your information to the Web Site, including to Contact Centre Canada Forums and Contact Centre Canada Tools. 
 
Use of Your Personal Information – Contact Centre Canada may use your personal information to contact and correspond with you, to respond to your inquiries, to track communications with you, to provide you with a customized interactive experience, to help Contact Centre Canada develop new services and website features that meet your needs, to improve the Web Site, to provide you with the Electronic Communications you request and as otherwise permitted or required by law. Generally, Contact Centre Canada will consider the fact that you have voluntarily visited the Web Site and have provided Contact Centre Canada with your personal information in connection to a special feature of the Web Site to signify your consent for Contact Centre Canada to use such information for purposes inherent in that feature. 
 
Electronic Communications from Contact Centre Canada - At any time you may ask Contact Centre Canada to stop sending you Electronic Communications and other information by contacting Contact Centre Canada at 1 Promenade Antares Drive, Suite 230, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 8C4. 
 
Tracking Information - In addition, Contact Centre Canada may use non-personal information to create aggregate tracking information reports regarding user demographics and traffic patterns relating to the Web Site. The identity or other personal information of individual users is not disclosed in tracking information reports and cannot be acquired from tracking information reports. However, Contact Centre Canada is able to link tracking information to the personal information of users of the Web Site. If and once such a link is made, the linked information is treated as personal information and will be used and disclosed only in accordance with this Policy, and in accordance with the law. 
 
Disclosure of Your Personal Information – Contact Centre Canada may transfer or otherwise disclose the information it collects from you to its employees, agents and service providers if the disclosure will enable these parties to perform a business, professional, or technical support function for Contact Centre Canada. Such parties will be subject to the same obligations as Contact Centre Canada under this Policy. Contact Centre Canada may disclose your personal information to a government institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information or where Contact Centre Canada has reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful in the investigation of unlawful activity, or to comply with a subpoena or warrant or an order made by a court, person or body with jurisdiction to compel the production of information, or to comply with court rules regarding the production of records and information, or to protect the rights and property of Contact Centre Canada. If Contact Centre Canada is involved in a merger or other reorganization, Contact Centre Canada may also disclose your personal information to the resulting organization. 
 
Disclosure of Personal Information Provided to Forums – If you voluntarily submit or post content to the Contact Centre Canada Forums, certain of your personal information may be automatically included in the posting, including without limitation, your user name and email address. Contact Centre Canada has no control over and is not liable for the collection, use or disclosure of any posted User Content or your included personal information by users of the Web Site. Any personal information posted, used or disclosed via the Contact Centre Canada Forums is not subject to this Policy. You are responsible for ensuring the protection of any of your personal information that you post on the Contact Centre Canada Forums. We recommend that you do not include your home address, job title, telephone number or other more sensitive personal information in any Postings, unless you are entirely satisfied that such information should be made public.
 
Storing and Securing Your Information - Contact Centre Canada will store and process your personal information in its offices situated at 1 Promenade Antares Drive, Suite 230, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 8C4. To help protect the confidentiality of your personal information, Contact Centre Canada employs security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Nevertheless, due to the nature of the Internet and Internet technologies, security and privacy risks cannot be eliminated and Contact Centre Canada cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Policy. 
 
Accessing Your Personal Information - You may request access to your personal information and information about the collection, use and disclosure of that information by Contact Centre Canada by contacting Contact Centre Canada at 1 Promenade Antares Drive, Suite 230, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 8C4. Subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law, you will be given reasonable access to your personal information, and will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate. You can help Contact Centre Canada maintain the accuracy of your information by notifying Contact Centre Canada of any changes to your personal information. 
 
Withdrawal of Consent - You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information about you at any time. Additionally, we routinely provide "opt out" or "unsubscribe" instructions on our Electronic Communications to provide for removal of your name from future transmissions.

Other Websites - The Website may contain links to other websites or Internet resources, notably those belonging to our partners. When you click on one of those links you are contacting another website or Internet resource that may collect information about you voluntarily or through cookies or other technologies. Contact Centre Canada has no responsibility or liability for or control over those other websites or Internet resources or their collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. 
 
Website Terms of Use - The Web Site Terms of Use governing your use of the Web Site (which may be viewed by clicking here [insert hyperlink]) contains important provisions disclaiming and excluding the liability of Contact Centre Canada and others regarding your use of the Web Site and provisions determining the applicable law and exclusive jurisdiction for the resolution of any disputes regarding your use of the Web Site. Each of those provisions also applies to any disputes that may arise in relation to this Policy and the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information, and are of the same force and effect as if they had been reproduced directly in this Policy.
 
Former Users - If you stop using the Web Site and have not withdrawn your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information about you in accordance with this Policy, Contact Centre Canada may continue to use and disclose your personal information in accordance with this Policy, as amended from time to time, and subject to compliance with the law. 
 
Privacy Policy Changes - This Policy may be changed by Contact Centre Canada from time to time in Contact Centre Canada’s sole discretion and without any prior notice or liability to you or any other person. Your continued use of the Web Site and receipt or request of any Electronic Communication subsequent to any changes to this Policy will signify that you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the changed Policy.
